Perhaps it was the harsh wilderness of northern British Columbia that forged his indomitable spirit—a spirit that carried him through thick and thin, toward the pinnacle of life itself, which, for him, was not some grand event in the distance, but rather day by day.

Wayne was born into a strategic role—the first son of six children, number three—appointed as the nominee to receive the corporeal discipline meted out by life in a house ruled by strong hands and deep emotions that informed those olden days.Old Picture of Prince George This, too, was part of the reality for this gregarious, free-range avatar of the ancient neo-clan Filiatrault family tree.

Wayne was far more than a son or a brother—he was a protector, a nurturer, and a fierce defender of those he loved.

He took me in, not only as a cousin, but as a younger version of a blood brother, sharing his endless love.
