The “wa” of Vacuuming

Read in日本語

Previously I have looked at vacuuming as a bothersome “chore”.

However, I have now found this task to be more of an opportunity to put on the headphones and listen to an interesting podcast for 1/2 hour.

When you change your mind, you can understand a chore in a different perspective, and that is what really matters.

A Japanese man wearing orange headphones vacuums a pale rug beside a wooden floor in a bright living room.

This can be applied to most of the things we dreads.

It’s not always easy to get the motivation, and as the great Brian Tracy said “Kiss The Frog”. This means doing all of the bothersome things first thing in the day

For example, creating a compelling presentation or a financial spreadsheet is not something I find fun, even though these are very important things to advance your vision.

A celadon ceramic frog sits on a plain folder beside an orange pencil, with the back of an open laptop behind it.

Step back and look at your tasks from a different angle and in a brand new way.

Changing your mind will definitely bring you one step closer to where you want to be.

Seen along a wooden corridor, a person steps through an open doorway toward a sunlit stone path bordered by green shrubs.
